Hope Runs for Countess

Sicily Nasca, Writer

Freshman Hope Cruz was nominated for homecoming countess at River City High School 2015. She thinks that since this is her first year at River City, it would be a great experience for her to get to know people.
When students run for homecoming they approach many different experiences. “The most fun part about homecoming is being able to hand things out and make campaign posters to put up around school”.
The nominees have many nerve racking things that they approach. “My biggest fear about running for homecoming is probably going to have to be being in front of the whole school at the rally and then not winning,” stated Cruz.
After high school, many River City students want to do big things and become something in life. “After high school I want to go straight into a good college and not wait,” said Cruz.
